TOKYO - The young Korean player Myung Woo Cho (18) has won the tournament for the 10th Yamani Cup in Tokyo. He dethroned the title holder Dani Sánchez in a round robin with eleven participants. Dani Sánchez finished second ahead of the Koreans Jae Guen Kim, Choong Bok Lee and Dae Kwon Shin. Sánchez closed the tournament with the highest average: 1.812.

The eleven participants, with amongst others the Japanese Ryuji Umeda, Kuji Funaki and Nobuyashi Sakai, played a round robin. Myung Woo Cho gathered fiften points out of ten games. He lost to Dani Sánchez and played his best match against Choong Bok Lee (30-18 in 15 innings).

Dani Sánchez ended up with thirteen points, he lost his matches against Jae Guen Kim (30-23 in 14) and Shin Dae Kwon, who played the best match of the tournament against the Spaniard: 30-27 in 10. The highest run was recorded by Dani Sánchez, Jae Guen Kim and Dae Kwon Shin 13.
