Dion Nelin beat Caudron and leads with BC Geox Herentals

LOVENDEGEM - The average of Dion Nelin against Frédéric Caudron (50-28 in 22 innings) and the run or Christian Rudolph against Eddy Leppens (50-43 in 37 innings, run or fifteen) were the highlights in the top match between Kasteeldreef and BC Geox Herentals yesterday evening in the billiardroom of BC Kasteeldreef. Befor his home audience BC Kasteeldreef was suffering a heavy defeat (0-8), not only Dion Nelin and Christian Rudolph, also Leon Smolders and Geert Meylemans grabbed the points to return to Herentals.
Geox Herentals after that spectacular victory is still in the lead with KBC Zanzibar and BC Deurne. Dion Nelin again showed his excellent form, giving Caudron not any chance. Nelin finished with an average of 2,272 and a run of ten. Christian Rudolph won his battle with Eddy Leppens mainly by his run of fifteen.
KBC Zanzibar triumphed in the home match against BC Quality Zele 6-2. Roland Forthomme defeated his friend Peter de Backer (50-37 in 32), Jean Paul de Bruijn was the only winner in the team of Zele (50-45 against Christiani).
Eddy Merckx pointed BC Deurne the way to a 6-2 victory over Royal Kortrijk thanks to a victory over Ronnie Brants (50-38 in 27 innings). Jef Philipoom this time lost his match with Henk Blauwblomme, Davy Havere and Therese Klompenhouwer (1.076 average) grabbed the two match points for BC in Deurne.
BC Geox Herentals, KBC Zanzibar and BC Deurne lead the rankings now with 13 points in nine matches. Koninklijke Kortrijk and BC Biljart Expres, which team won 8-0 against The Meir, are three points behind.
