Nelin, Smolders and Bitalis in a great shape

HERENTALS - The team from Geox Herentals, with Dion Nelin at the number one position, is the proud leader in the Belgian league. The victory over BC The Ploeg (8-0) brought the team with one point ahead on the lead of the ranking. Dion Nelin delivered a great performance by defeating Martin Horn 50-42 in 23 innings. The Dane made a run of ten. Leon Smolders also excelled at billiard three with an average of 2.210.

Richard Bitalis again demanded a leading role for himself with a run of twelve. The Frenchman and his team Royal Kortrijk won 6-2 against BC Quality Zele. Only Ronny Brants in the winning team was defeated by Peter de Backer: 50-43 in 35 innings.

KC Zanzibar is the number two on the ranking after the 4-4 draw against BC Billiards Express. Frans van Kuijk won his match against Roland Forthomme with a clear score: 50-31 in 31 innings. Dave Christiani and Paul Stroobants took the winning points for Zanzibar.
BC Kasteeldreef regaled the home crowd at Lovendegem with a brilliant 8-0 victory at On The Meir. Frédéric Caudron (50-20 in 29 against Wim van Cromvoirt), Eddy Leppens, the silver man on the World championship in Sluiskil (50-37 against Rudy de Laet), Peter Duytschaever (42-39 against John Wittens) and Piet Rodt (42-35  against Tom Persijn) send home the opponent with empty hands.

The derby between BC Lugo Deurne and BC Deurne ended with a 6-2 win for BC Deurne. with victories by Eddy Merckx, Jef Philipoom and Ludo Dielis. The veteran Dielis signed for the highest average in his team: 42 in 22 innings, 1.909.

Mister 100 Lier will play this evening against K. Eeklo BC.
