VIERSEN - The draw for the World championship three-cushion for nation teams resulted among others in a group with the Netherlands, Belgium B and France. The matches in this group with Dick Jaspers, Eddy Leppens and Jérémy Bury as leaders give the preliminaries an extra dimension.
The World championship, which is played from February 26 to March 1 in Viersen (Germany), is divided in eight groups with three teams in the preliminaries, vying for a place in the top eight. The Belgian world champions Eddy Merckx and Frédéric Caudron face Switzerland and Portugal.
The Swedish record holders Torbjörn Blomdahl and Michael Nilsson meet Korea B and Austria in the group stage.
