The protocol was signed for seven World Cups to be held in Hurghada and Luxor

HURGHADA/LUXOR - The long tradition of World Cup organizations in Hurghada will be continued for at least four years. Another World Cup in Egyptian was organized in Luxor this year.

A protocol has been signed last week, between the Egyptian Minister of Tourism, H.E. Mr. Hisham Zaazou and Mr. Yasser Rizk, Chairman of the Akhbar Elyom Organization, for seven World Cups to be held in Hurghada and Luxor, starting in December 2014 and following through to 2017.

The next, in Hurghada, starts off on December 7, the next in Luxor is early next year.

The World Cup in Hurghada has a long tradition with famous winners like Torbjörn Blomdahl, Frédéric Caudron, Marco Zanetti and Eddy Merckx. Frédéric Caudron won this year's first World Cup in Luxor in a final against Torbjörn Blomdahl.

The contract for seven World Cups was signed in the presence of Alsharif Alhussein, President of the African confederation and UMB sportsdirector Farouk Barki.
