New York tournament with record of players

NEW YORK - The Verhoeven Open tournament in New York already has a record number of inscription: over eighty players. The registration is still open. The men's tournament will be played from 21 to 26 July, the women's tournament from 18 to 20th July. The women's tournament is expected to show up with eighteen players. Many players from the world top in three cushion will travel to New York next month. The format is, almost certain, with eight seeded players for the main event:

Torbjorn Blomdahl (Sweden), Frédéric Caudron (Belgium), Eddy Merckx (Belgium), Marco Zanetti (Italy), Dick Jaspers (Netherlands), Raymond Ceulemans (Belgium), Sung-Won Choi (Korea) and Dong Koong Kang (Korea).

Torbjörn Blomdahl remained unbeaten last year in the main tournament, he defeated Dick Jaspers, Eddy Merckx, Frédéric Caudron, Sameh Sidhom, Huberney Catano, Vinh The Ly and Alexander Salazar.
