Nicolas Gérassimopouos shines with 120 in 1 inning

OISSEL - The French player Jacky Justice won in Oissel the last French one cushion tournament of this season. But even more impressive than the final victory was Nicolas Gérassimopoulos’ performance. He wrote French history finishing a 120 caroms match in one inning. Jacky Justice from Chartres finished off the tournament  with 9.23 average and defeated Bernard Villiers in the final match 120-44 in six innings. The eventual winner started with wins against Eric Castaner in 22 innings and then switched to higher speed with victories against Jean-François Florent in 7 (17.14), in the quarterfinals against Willy Gérimont in 15 (120-104) and then, in the semis, he stopped Nicolas Gérassimopoulos on his way to the final 120-75 in 15.

The Andernos the player previously marked the tournament with a record match against Jean-Francois Pelouin, in which he played the perfect run. Alain Remond did that once before in Spain. The phenomenal record of Gérassimopoulos lasted only 35 minutes.

The second place in the tournament went to Bernard Villiers (9.35), who defeated include Alain Remond in the semi-finals 120-100 in 9 innings.

Alain Remond finished with the best average (12.43) ahead of Nicolas Gérassimopoulos (9.06).

The circuit of this year had three different winners Bernard Villiers, Pascal Dessaint and Jacky Justice.

The sixteen players on top of the ranking are qualified for the final of the French Evian Masters:
