ALEXANDRIË - The sudden absence of Sameh Sidhom offered all the Egyptian players a chance to win the 4th ranking championship played in Alexandria. In fact the young champion interrupted his participation after his first victory in the competition to go to the funeral of his grandma in Cairo.

But the sadness of some people makes the happiness of others. Finally and after years, 16 players suddenly were capable to win an Egyptian tournament. The Alexandrian players, playing at home, eliminated the Caïro players one by one. The old soldier Khaled Erfan was the final winner.

The discreet referee at the World Cups in Hurghada and Luxor, took the trophy after defeating Ahmed Abdallah, followed respectively by Mohamed Abdel-Rassoul, Ihab El Messery, Samer Kamal, Hisham Saad, Mohamed Abdin, Ali Hares and Ragai Henry.

The accumulated points of 4 Egyptian ranking championships added to regional points do not change much the Egyptian general ranking.

The results in the semi-finals:

Ihab El Messery-Ahmed Abdallah 29-40 in 37 innings, 0.783/1.081.

Khaled Erfan-Mohamed Abdel Rassoul 40-31 in 43 innings, 0.930/0.720.

Final:

Khaled Erfan-Ahmed Abdallah 40-29 in 31 innings, 1290/0.935.

Khaled Erfan, known as the referee at the World Cups in Hurghada an Luxor.
