Verbrugge player and team leader Patrick Vasseur, looking for first team win

KWADENDAMME - While most of the top players show up in the Medellin World Cup this weekend, the Dutch teams in the ’eredivisie’ play three matches for the eighth round. They will come to the tables in Kwadendamme, Sluiskil and Roosendaal.

De Distel, the best of those six on the ranking, is chasing a top four position, when the team succeeds to win the home match against Holland Mineral. The Brabant squad is two pays down from STZ, the current number four.

On Sunday, in Lands Welvaren in Kwadendamme, Biljartcafé Jorissen is the opponent. The billiards fans in Zeeland, who want to see Raymond Ceulemans in his best form, won’t miss in Kwadendamme. The home team is the better on the ranking and can be number five on the ranks after a full win.

The matches:

13.00: Kees Wittens - Jeffrey Jorissen and Jens van Dam - Herman van Daalen.
15.00: Francis Forton - Jean van Erp and Ronnie Daniels - Raymond Ceulemans.

Both teams play again at 18.00 for the third round of the cup competition, now in sets. The line-ups are the same.

A1 Biljarts from Apeldoorn travels to Hotel Dallinga for the away match against Garage Verbrugge Hyundai. The ’Zeeuws’ team - with two points on the ranks, is looking for first win after two draws.

The home crowd in Sluiskil witnessed the celebration of Frédéric Caudron as the new world champion last week. This time, Therese Klompenhouwer, the new women national champion, is among the players.

The matches:

13.00: Patrick Vasseur - Addie Wienk and Berry Dallinga - Henk Blauwblomme.
15.00: Bart Ceulemans - Raimond Burgman and Therese Klompenhouwer - Martien van der Spoel.
