Pedro Piedrabuena, America's best for the ninth time

ARIZONA - The 46-year-old Pedro Piedrabuena has again managed to conquer the American title in three cushin. In the final round robin with 12 players, the most successful USA player remained unbeaten. He won his eleven matches and achieved 1.584 of average. 1.584. The championship was played in Arizona, a state in the southwest of the United States with its capital of Phoenix. The other players on stage were Miguel Torres and Jae Hyung Cho.

The victory in Tucson was Pedro Piedrabuena's ninth title in the USBA. Two players only could threaten the new champion in their matches: Miguel Torres finished 30-27 down, like Joseph DeAmato who also was three points behind at the finish. In all his other matches, Piedrabuena was superior. He defeated among others Anthony Ferrara, Camilo Medina and Craig Powers 30-9 and also the third ranked Jae Hyung Cho remained far behind 30-10. Mazin Shooni lost 30-11 to the champion, Hugo Patino 30-16.

Piedrabuena already secured his title before the last round of the competition, in which the twelve players met each other. Miguel Torres and Jae Hyung Cho both won nine matches. The highest run came to Hugo Patino's name with 15.
