Kurt Ceulemans is one of the players in the semi finals.

Two weeks ago Francis Forton excelled in the VES tournament in Sint Niklaas (Belgium) with a match of forty caroms in ten innings against Johan Loncelle. Some hours later he was eliminated by Frédéric Caudron. With Peter Ceulemans happened the same last night.

The grandson of Raymond played in a match against Dirk Weeremans an own record, just like Forton forty points in ten innings. ,,The best match I ever played so far'', he said. But on his way to the semifinals Ceulemans also had to leave the tournament. He met Roland Forthomme in the second evening session and lost 40-31 in 22 innings.

The VES tournament, the Memorial GP Jef van der Meersch, is played in Sint Niklaas. The last quarter finals are on Thursday with Eddy Merckx, Ronny Brants, Jef Philipoom and Frederic Mottet. The winner of those matches is the fourth semifinalist.

Three semi-finalists are already known. Frédéric Caudron plays Friday night against Roland Forthomme, Kurt Ceulemans against the winner of the pool with Eddy Merckx. The final will be played on Friday at 20.00.
