Peter de Backer, no more chane to win the title.

,,This was my last chance to get a title, I had to win to keep a chance.'' Peter de Backer returned from the billiard, spoke with some people about his match and overlooked the damage he had suffered in his one cushion match with Frédéric Caudron: 150-127 lost in eight innings. ,,The balls roled just something better for Fred than for me, that made the difference'', he realised.
,,I attacked in my last innings, because I didn't want Fred to come close, then he could draw in the equalizer. And that was not enough for me for winning the title.''
Two butages (bouncing balls) were very unlucky for De Backer, twice he had to break of his run. ,,You know that there is a very little chance to beat Fred, but in this discipline I'm able to do it. I saw this match as a finale, but I lost. That means that the championship is played. There's only one place that counts for me, that's the first.''
Caudron brought his total to six match points in three matches. He should only beat Leppens in his last match, but all his opponents have lost at least one match point.
