Tayfun Tasdemir defeated two Swedish opponents: Michael Nilsson and Torbjörn Blomdahl

RAVENSBURG - The leader, Ravensburger BC, has clearly proved that the highest position in the German bundesliga is not a coincidence. In the weekends' double round, the frontrunner overwhelmed BC Elversberg 8-0 and on Sunday the top team Bergisch Gladbacher 6-2. The title favorite performed with Torbjörn Blomdahl, Nikos Polychronopoulos and Martin Horn, but was outplayed by the leader.

Ravensburger took the German record team average with 1.951 overall. Tayfun Tasdemir defeated Michael Nilsson 40-20 in 14 innings and Murat Gökmen sparkled with 40-8, also in 14 innings against Falco Willenburger. Murat Naci Coklu bested Hans Jürgen Kuhl 40-24 in 22 innings and Klaus Bosel defeated Voker Marx 40-20 in 32.

The victory, on day later, over Bergisch Gladbach was even more impressive. Nikos Polychronopoulos was the only winner for Bergisch with 40-10 in 20 innings against Murat Naci Coklu. That wasn't enough to beat the leader, because Tayfun Tasdemir overpowered Torbjörn Blomdahl (40-34 in 23) and Klaus Bosel surprised with a win over Martin Horn, who showed up with the best match in this double round on the day before: 40 in 13 innings against Andreas Horvath (3.076).

Bergisch Gladbach is now three points behind Ravensburg and is number three behind GT Buer, that drew against Sterkrade. Bergisch won its match on Saturday in Munich 8-0. Nikos Polychronopoulos triumphed in 26 innings, Martin Horn in 13, Dömer in 45 and in Horcher in 40.
