Record prize money at LGU Cup: 58.000 euro's for winner

Doong Koong Kang is last year's winner in Seoul

SEOUL - The world champion Torbjörn Blomdahl, the world's number one Frédéric Caudron, four invitational players from four different continents and all Korean top players meet each other at the second LGU U+ Cup three cushion Masters 2016 in Seoul from Tuesday 8 to Friday, November 11. The title holder is the Korean Dong Koong Kang. The tournament has a record prize fund. The winner will receive 70 million Korean won, converted about 58.000 euros.

Besides the Koreans and Torbjörn Blomdahl (Sweden) and Frédéric Caudron (Belgium) are invited: Dani Sánchez (Spain), Quyet Chien Tran (Vietnam), Pedro Piedrabuena (USA) and Sameh Sidhom (Egypt). The qualifications are 8, 9 and 10 November, the semifinals and finals on Friday 11 November. On the final day, four players meet in matches to 40 caroms.

The prize money is:
Winner: 70.000.000 won
Second place: 30.000.000 won
Losers semifinals: 10.000.000 won

The Korean players who are invited: Dong-Koong Kang Jae Ho Cho, Jae-Guen Kim, Haeng-Jik Kim, Hyung-Ki Kim, Sung-Won Choi, Jin-Pyo Hong, Choong-Bok Lee, Jung-Han Heo, Myung-Woo Cho.

The tournament is played at two tables with live broadcasts of all matches.

The schedule:
Tuesday, November 8: draw 17.00
Wednesday, November 9: Qualifications from 14.00 to 22.00
Thursday 10 November: Qualifications from 14.00 to 22.00
Friday November 11: Semifinals 15.00 and 17.00 Finals 19.30.
