MEDELLIN - The Colombian three cushion stars Huberney Catano and Robinson Morales won the two tournaments in the preparation for the Pan American championships. This tournament will be held from 30 June until 6 July in Medellin.

Robinson Morales won the tournament in Monteria ahead of Heriberto Aristizabal. Huberney Catano was the best in Popayan where he defeated Robinson Morales in the final.

The best national players came to the tables in the tournaments. Many known players were involved in the organization, such as Harry Reyes, Jose Juan Garcia, Edwin Perez, Gabriel Vasquez, Carlos Campino, the current national champion Luis Martinez, the number one in Colombia, Pedro González, Alexander Salazar, Huberney Cataño and Dutchman Glenn Hoffman who spends his summer in Colombia.

Robinson Morales recorded 1.579 average in Popayan with a best run of eight. He beat Heriberto Aristizabal in the final in Monteria 40-35 in 29 innings.
