In the Belgian league Horn lost with De Ploeg in one of the first playing rounds his match against Steven van Acker. The match had a thrilling denouement, which the Belgian by two points emerged as the winner (50-48 in 30 innings).
In the team of Zanzibar the Dutchman Dave Christiani played at his highest level. Two weeks ago he sighed after a victory over Jean Paul de Bruijn: ,,I finally played with an average over two.'' Against Allan Jensen he was even beter last night. Christiani won 50-23 in 20 innings.
KBC Zanzibar remained at the top of the rankings, together with BC Deurne. The Antwerp team defeated KC Eeklo 8-0 with Eddy Merckx as the best man (2.380) against Steven van Acker.
BC Geox Herentals recovered from a bad week thanks to a 6-2 victory over BC Lugo. BC Kasteeldreef returned without any point from the away match against Kon. Kortrijk, because Frédéric Caudron lost by one point against Ronny Brants (43 innings). Eddy Leppens was the only player who won for Kasteeldreef, with 50-48 against Henk Blauwblomme.
