Ronny Lindemann with highest average in next round

Two players from the home country of Egypt, three Dutchmen and two Belgians have qualified for the next round in the World Cup in Hurghada. They are joined by one Czech, one Dane, one Austrian, one German and one Korean player. The Egyptian Sheriff Ghoneim tonight was the last one who stumbled over Czech Jan Hudak, who was the last of the twelve players who qualified.

The German Ronny Lindemann made the highest run (nine) on the second day of qualifications in his match against Ragai Henri. He also finished with the highest average of the day: 1106. Haen Jik Kim from Korea won his two matches with an overall average of 1.052 and a highest run of eight.

The Dutch players dominated the day with three players reaching the next round. Marcel van Berkel in his group was the winner, the young, talented Bart Ceulemans was eliminated by the same average of 0.755. Wilco van Wijk and Huub Wilkowski already showed their talents on the opening day and now survived on the second session.

Jan Hudak survived the pre pre-qualification with the lowest average of the twelve players. The Czech won his group with the Belgian Rudi Hendrickx and the Egyptian Sheriff Ghoneim with 0.606, his last match against Ghoneim took a very long time to make the decision: 15-13 and 15-14, 0.545 average.
