The Belgian champions played their matches for a full house this afternoon.

The majestic room in the casino in Blankenberge, this week the place where the Belgium championships all disciplines are played, was overwhelmed by a full house this afternoon. The audience, with almost a fourhundred billiard fans, was treated to matches on a very high level. Frédéric Caudron, the undisputed star of the Belgian billiards, let the roulettes role in all disciplines and again this afternoon in a fast and furious match. He defeated Eddy Leppens in the balkline 47/2, in which he produced the three hundred caroms in one turn. His opponent left behind with 79 points.
The easiest balkline play, the 47/2, was a target for Patrick Niessen in the past two years. He pushed Caudron from his throne with averages of 150.00 in both tournaments. Caudron also played this record average one time in the twelve times that he was Belgian champion 47/2. That was in the year of 2001, also in Blankenberge.
This year Caudron aims his arrows on all titles except the free game. Caudron is still unbeaten after ten matches, he only tied once against Eddy Leppens in the 47/1.
