ANDERNOS - The Paris team of Saint-Maur has recovered from a poor start like Morangis did in the other group in the French league. Saint-Maur, the team with four French players, took a 7-1 victory against Kozoom. The two teams compete in the B group of the preliminaries.
Thierry Roxo and Louis Edelin scored for the Parisian team before the break and were responsible for the 4-0 lead. The score was then expanded by Jérémy Bury and Jean-Christophe Roux.
Louis Edelin matched with Bernard Baudoin until 37-35 before he ran to 50-41 in 40. Thierry Roxo started furiously against Frédéric Mottet with a 25 in 9 innings. The level dropped after the break, but Roxo kept the margin: 50-32 in 34, 1.471 average.
Kozoom, that came to the table with Peter De Backer and Marc Boingnères in the second part, faced a 4-0 deficit and couldn't catch up the opponent. Jérémy Bury showed himself the better player against De Backer 50-30 in 31. Jean-Christophe Roux and Marc Boignères finished at 50-50 after Boignères' run of six from the spots.
