SCHILTIGHEIM - Daniel Sánchez has made a grand comeback on the World championship in Sluiskil. Torbjörn Blomdahl played there, at the highest platform of three-cushion, two fantastic matches, but then was eliminated by the strong Korean Sung Won Choi.
The 36-year-old Spaniard and the 48-year-old Swede this week are the major contenders to survive the first group stage of the Agipi Masters in Schiltigheim. They come in action on Thursday, Friday and Saturday to duel with Dion Nelin from Danmark and Lütfi Cenet of Turkey, two dangerous outsiders to stumble the leaders of this group.
Dani Sánchez plays his opening match on Thursday at 21.00 against Cenet, Torbjörn Blomdahl starts at the same time against Nelin.
