Semih Sayginer took victory in the final match against Murat Naci Coklu: 80-73 in 36 innings

ISTANBUL - In a final to 80 caroms, at the end of a big tournament in Murat Tüzül's club, Semih Sayginer was crowned champion. The Turkish star player defeated Murat Naci Coklu in the final match 80-73 in 36 innings. The two protagonists outplayed Tayfun Tasdemir and Murat Tüzül in the semifinals. More than 600 matches were played with a total of 86 players.

The Tüzül Club is a renowned and popular club which has existed since 1998 and is located in Istanbul's Besiktas city. The tournament was played over a period of eight months, with members of the club itself and invited players. For the last sixteen, the seeds were Semih Sayginer, Adnan Yüksel, Tayfun Tasdemir and Murat Naci Coklu.

The tournament was organized as a memorial and called the Tüzül Club 'Volkan Barut billiard league. Volkan Barut was a friend of Murat Tüzül who passed away a few months before.

The final was a breathtaking match in which Semih Sayginer showed his high class. The final winner took 1.975 overall average, Murat Naci Coklu 1.970.

The total prize money for the first eight players was 4000 euro. The matches were broadcast live from the quarterfinals and viewed by thousands of people in Turkey and around the world.

The club owner Murat Tüzül thanked all the participants and fans during the ceremony.
