LAUSANNE - The organization of the Lausanne Billiard Masters, which will be held from 15 until 17 March 2013, has announced six players for the first edition of the event. Among them are the numbers one until four of the world ranking of now, complemented by Marco Zanetti and Martin Horn. The most notable absentee is Dani Sánchez from Spain, the number five in the rankings.

The Lausanne Billiard Masters will be for the first time on the international calender in 2013. Diane Wild, board member of the CEB, the European Billard federation, has launched the event earlier this year. The intention is that the tournament will be yearly on the calender with a participation of eight players, six of whom are at the top of the world.

The supplement must come from two Swiss three cushion players. The top players in that country are currently Torsten Danielson on the 91st position in the world, René Hendriksen (145), Cetin Behzat and Pierre Alain Rech. Xavier Gretillat, the famous one cushion and balk line player, is on the 394th place in the world.

The Lausanne Billiard Masters will be played in the Casino Montbenon in Lausanne.
