LAXOU - The battle for the top positions in the French team competition is approaching an exciting final stage. The Laxou team with Torbjörn Blomdahl and Martin Horn took revenge in its match against La Baule wity a 6-2 home victory last night. The team averages were exceptionally low: Laxou 1.168, 0.931 for La Baule, that recorded 1.600 in the first three games.

Jean Paul de Bruijn was the only winner in the team of the leader beating Pierre Soumagne 50-38 in 34. Matthew Franck defeated Joel Switala before the break 50-29 in 70 (!) Innings.

Martin Horn took a big margin against Jérémy Bury with a 13-run in the starting phase. The German then ran out to 32-10 in ten innings and 43-20 in 13. That resulted in a comfortable 50-27 in 18, the best match of the evening.

Torbjörn Blomdahl dominated the moderate match against Caudron with scores of 27-13 and 35-17 between. When the Swede had a little hick-up, Caudron came back. The gap was even one point in Caudron's advantage in the 37th inning: 44-43. But on that score, Blomdahl finished the match with a run of 7: 50-44 in 39.

The last two days will be decisive in this group with the matches Morangis-La Baule and Laxou-Morangis.
