Spanish billiards top meets in Costa del Sol

Dani Sánchez tops the playerslist in the Costa del Sol tournament

ANTEQUERA/MALAGA - The famous Spanish Costa del Sol and in particular the town of Antequera, near Malaga, is the location where the Open Euroquinoa tournament is played this week. All major Spanish players come to the start of the Grand Prix. The preliminaries are launched today, Monday. A total of 102 players have registered.

Dani Sánchez, Rubén Legazpi, Javier Palazón and all major Spanish billiard players will test their skills in the individual competition in the run-up to the World Cup in Porto. The tournament is played according to the classic schedule of a World Cup. That means, in the Prequalifications in groups of three players over three days. On Thursday is the last qualification.

After that round, sixteen players from the qualifications join the sixteen seeded players from the league ranking for the knockout phase.

The matches in the prequalification phase are to 30 points with a limit of 50 intings. The final qualifying and knockout is over 40 caroms.

The tables are installed by Rufes Billiards, known by many national and international championships in Spain.
The best-known players in the tournament: Dani Sánchez, Rubén, Adrián and Alfonso Legazpi, Ricardo Garcia, Sergio Jimenez, Juan David Zapata, Xavier Yeste, David Martinez, Armando Moreno, Carlos Crespo, Rafael Garrida, Antonio Montes, Esteve Mata.
