Spanish top guns in main draw Grand Prix

Jose Maria Mas is one of the seeded players in the main draw

MADRID - Sixteen players are left from the first prelimanaries and enter the main tournament of the Grand Prix of Spain. Today, Friday, the knockouts are launched with the sixteen seeded players and sixteen who survived the preliminaries. The knockout phase starts with all the Spanish favorites such as Dani Sánchez, Javier Palazón, Rubén Legazpi, David Martinez, Carlos Crespo, Jose Maria Mas, David Zapata, Sergio Jimenez, Xavier Yeste, Antonio Montes and other big names.

The tournament is played in the headquarters of the Spanish Federation in Madrid. The matches, starting from 12.00 pm today, will be broadcast live by Kozoom. The Gran Premio Espanol counts for the Spanish ranking.

The best winner on the final day of the preliminaries was Joseba Escribano. The Basque player defeated Juanjo Pineda: 40-9 in 25 innings. Alberto Sintas was the better of Adrian Legazpi 40-26 in 28 innings.
