Star players show up in New York and Mexico

NEW YORK/MEXICO - The ladies start Jennifer Shim tournament at the Carom Café in Flushing is preceding many activities in New York, Mexico and other locations where the European stars are invited for exhibitions and trainings.

Therese Klompenhouwer, Orie Hida and other famous players from the women's billiards compete for the trophy in New York during three days (18-20 July), when they finish, the Carom Cafe opens its doors to welcome the Open Verhoeven from 21 to 27 July with more than a hundred participants.

Six players have been seeded in advance: Torbjörn Blomdahl, the winner of last year, Dick Jaspers, Eddy Merckx, Frédéric Caudron, Raymond Ceulemans and Marco Zanetti. The Italian star shows up in New York for the first time in ten years.

The schedule in the groups will be made on the day before the preliminary rounds start the tournament.

Semih Sayginer and Frédéric Caudron meet in a Pro-Am Challenge in the Royal Billiards in New York as of 15.00 on Saturday, July 18th, the day that the women in the Carom Café are launched. On monday, July 27, Raymond Ceulemans and Semih Sayginer face each other in the Skyline Billiard Club in New York starting at 15.00.

Eddy Leppens and Semih Sayginer make a Mexican tour invited by the brothers Daniel and Alan Campos. They provide exhibitions, trainings and magic show. Leppens starts in Hollywood Billar today against different opponents.

Semih Sayginer returns to Mexico after a period of fifteen years, thanks to the invitation of team Campos. The Mexican fans can prepare for a demonstration and the famous Magic show.
