Subtop is chasing the leader in Dutch league

Javier Palazon is the leading player for A1 Biljarts this weekend

THE HAGUE/HOEVEN - The subtop teams in the Dutch Buffalo league are facing an important weekend. The top five of the three cushion premier division is in a fierce battle for the three play-off spots and even eight teams out of twelve are chasing for the leader SIS Schoonmaak. The most important matchesin the 15th round are SIS, A1 Biljarts-Team Eekhoorn and L & B Ledermode-DPC.

In the DPC team, which is in third place one point ahead of L & B Ledermode, the opponent of Sunday, the line-up is even uncertain until Sunday morning. Team leader Danny Molier tries everything possible to travel to Hoeven in the strongest line-up. Birol Uymaz basically doesn't show up in the line-up, but that may change on Saturday night. ,,He has to play in Turkey, but when he is out there, Uymaz comes to the Netherlands on Saturday evening or Sunday morning.'' He will replace Richard Bitalis and in that line-up DPC plays with Nikos Polychronopoulos, Birol Uymaz, David Martinez and Martin Spoormans. The Brabant opponent also comes in his best line-up with Eddy Merckx, Dave Christiani, Gerwin Valentijn and Adnan Yüksel, who takes the position of John Tijssens.

SIS Schoonmaak has given a day off to Glenn Hoffman, the captain who plays in the German league. Jean van Erp now is the first man against to face Jean Paul de Bruijn. The Brabant player showed in the Belgian league once again his top form this week, the Zeeuw player, De Bruijn, hasn't reached his normal level in the year this year.

Javier Palazón especially comes to the Netherlands this weekend for the home match of A1 Biljarts, which is fourth on the ranking. Palazon is the number one player against Team Eekhoorn. These two teams are also close together in the sub top: A1 Biljarts has 16 points, Team Eekhoorn 15.

HCR Prinsen normally has a walk-over against MCR, but shows up in a strong line-up vs the number last. Dick Jaspers has no obligations in Germany, Eddy Leppens plays in the Danish playoffs on Saturday, but can play along with Prinsen on Sunday-evening.
