Dani Sánchez was the best in the final against David Martinez

LLINARS DEL VALLES - Dani Sánchez may add another success to his huge national and international palmares. The Spaniard, triple world champion, won the Grand Prix of Llinars del Valley, the first major test for the Spanish top players that counts for the national rankings.

Super Dani saved the best for the last and defeated David Martinez in the final 40-23 in sixteen innings. His young opponent, who already was the revelation in the Porto World Cup two weeks ago, showed again his progression.

Dani Sánchez raised his total of individual victories with this win to 44. The victory in Llinars del Valles was the fourth in a row in this kind of Grand Prix tournaments. David Martinez, the player of Montcada, showed up for the first time in a final in a Spanish Grand Prix. He already won three bronze medals, now in the Llinars Grand Prix he was rewarded with his first silver. 
The brothers Legazpi, Adrian and Ruben, were eliminated in the semifinals. Adrian, who played 1.421 average, was defeated by the later champion Dani Sánchez.

Ruben Legazpi had his ups and downs and finished 1.458 average. He defeated Sintas in 36 innings, Sergio Jimenez in 19, David Zapata in 23 and lost the semifinals to David Martinez in 29 innings.
