The town of Bordeaux is hosting the World championship in 2015 and 2016

BORDEAUX - The entire field for the UMB World championship three-cushion in Bordeaux has been published today: The world federation has added the last thirteen (European) players to the list of players who were already known. The World championship is hosted by Kozoom Multimedia Company from 1 to December 5, 2015 at the Palais des Congrès in Bordeaux.

The reigning world champion, Korean Sung-Won Choi and sixteen players from the world's top ranking are seeded automatically. The European federation (CEB) sends another thirteen players, the CPB (America) eight players, ACBC (Asia) six and ACC (Africa) two players.

Two wildcards are given by the organization to Jean Reverchon (France) and Semih Sayginer (Turkey).

The Korean Sung-Won Choi won the World championship in his home country in the final against Torbjörn Blomdahl (40-37 in 20 innings).

Nine players from the 48 on the list of participants in Bordeaux were already on the top of the podium in a World championship: Torbjörn Blomdahl, Dani Sánchez, Dick Jaspers, Eddy Merckx and Marco Zanetti, Frédéric Caudron, Sung-Won Choi, Ryuuji Umeda and Semih Sayginer.
