Tayfun Tasdemir, no longer playing for Ravensburger?

MUNICH/RAVENSBURG - The champion in the Bundesliga last year is now doomed to be relegated. The team title was taken by Ravensburg with Tayfun Tasdemir and Murat Naci Coklu as the leading players last year, but the team is now down under on the ranking after two 8-0 losses this weekend. The Turkish top guns don't seem to come in action in the upcoming matches.

Bergisch Gladbach is the current table leader with 20 points out of 12 matches, followed by Munich with 19 out of 13 and BC Magdeburg with 18 out of 13. These three teams will battle it out for the title with Bergisch as the big favorite. The team played one time this weekend and won 6-2 over BC Elversberg. Torbjörn Blomdahl defeated Jef Philipoom 40-25 in 22, Nikos Polychronopoulos bested Klaus Bosel (40-34 in 31) and Jens Eggers sealed the win against Volker Marx 40-30 in 34. Peter Ceulemans took one match win for Elversberg when he beat Martin Horn 40-26 in 24.

BC Munich, the number two, played a double round with a win and a draw. Marco Zanetti and Johan Schirmbrand took the match points. Zanetti defeated Christian Rudolph without being in trouble 40-16 in 18 and Stefan Galla 40-33 in 31. Schirmbrand defeated Dustin Jäschke (40-25 in 26) and Markus Galla (40-22 in 23).

Dick Jaspers, the star in the BC Magdeburg team, showed his best with two wins in 15 and 16 innings (40-27 against Jean van Erp, 40-23 against Thorsten Frings), but by missteps of his teammates, Magdeburg lost 5-3 to Sterkrade on Saturday. In Krefeld, the team took revenge with a 6-2 win, including Dion Nelin, who recovered with a win against Dirk Weeremans (40-26 in 28).

Thomas Broux played a strong match for Sterkrade against Dion Nelin (40-36 in 22) and dealt in the win with his team against the Magdeburg team. Ramazan Durdu took a win, Roger Lier played a draw against Christian Zollner.
