The ten players who started at the European championship

DEURNE - The eight finalists at the European championship free game, that is played in the Belgian town Deurne this weekend, continues tonight with the final stage of the tournament. Belgian Andy de Bondt remained unbeaten in the preliminary rounds, was the most impressive player and ended eight match points and an average of 66.66.

The two Dutch favourites Sam van Etten and Ferry Young finished off first and second in the two groups. Sam van Etten recorded six match points and 41.80 average in the group in which Adam Baca from the Czech Republic was second with the same match points and 22.27. he Dutchman lost only to Baca in five innings.

Ferry Jong took six match points in the group in which Andy Bond showed up with the maximum eight match points and averaged 66.66. Ferry Jong was second with six points and 32.35.

The eight finalists are Adam Baca (Czech Republic), Sam van Etten (Netherlands), Jason Petit (France), Thomas Caluwaerts (Belgium), Andy de Bond (Belgium), Ferry Jong (Netherlands), Adam Kozak (Czech Republic) and Jessy Maillaerts France).
