Therese Klompenhouwer appointd honorary member of the KNBB by the major of Nijkerk

THE HAGUE - Therese Klompenhouwer, who conquered the world title in three cushion for the second time in a row this year, is invited to a lunch with the Dutch king Willem Alexander and queen Maxima. The 27 invitees are expected on December 1 at Noordeinde Palace in The Hague. The Nijker billiards star is very proud to be invited for her recent sporting achievements. ,,I can finally say that I go for a lunch with His Majesty King Willem Alexander and Queen Maxima. I am so happy and honored'', Therese replied delighted.

The Dutch top player took her her second world title in South Korea, two months ago and was appointed honorary member of the KNBB, the Royal Dutch Billard federation after her world performance. Two years ago Therese was appointed ambassador of the KNBB and rewarded by the major of Nijkerk by the medal of the city.

Two or three times a year, the Dutch King and Queen have a so-called lunch at Noordeinde Palace with a selection of Dutch people who have distinguished themselves by an outstanding performance in various sectors, such as sports, culture, journalism, health care, volunteer work or business. The King and Queen want to express their recognition and appreciation for the people who have made such a special achievement.
