EIBERGEN - The Dutch championship three-cushion for women was launched today in Eibergen with a lot of undersized matches. Therese Klompenhouwer was the only player who starred at a high level. The player from Nijkerk defeated Carin Wolf 25-6 in 26 innings and a highest run of nine.
The four groups of four are playing to 25 points. The match ends with a maximum of forty innings. Eight of the ten matches on the first day were flagged after fourty innings.
Gerrie Geelen and Karin Jetten, two players who together with Therese Klompenhouwer belong to the favorites, had a very bad start. Jetten only made fourteen points in 40 innings, Geelen nineteen points in 40.
The championship is held in Biljartcentrum Overkamp in Eibergen.
