Third ranking tournament at Sander Jonen's place in Osdorp

Sander Jonen, de world champion artistic, is organizer and player in the third Grand Prix.


OSDORP - Sander Jonen is gonna have a very busy week, but the world champion in artistic billiards is used to it. From 22 until September 25 the thire three-cushion ranking tournament will be organized in his Billiards and darts center in Osdorp near to Amsterdam. Jonen is one of the participants himself. For the tournament the best 32 playes of the Netherlands are seeded, without a few, like Frans van Kuyk and John Tijssens, who don't participate in the Grand Prix tournaments.

But with players like Dick Jaspers, Raimond Burgman, Jean Paul de Bruijn, Jean van Erp, Glenn Hoffman, Dave Christiani and Barry Beers there will be a select group at the start. They're fighting for the win in this event. Martien van der Spoel won the first, Jean van Erp the second so far in Vlaardingen.

Dick Jaspers, the world, European and Dutch champion, couldn't reach to the final in both tournaments. He is now classified in a group with Jean Paul de Bruijn, Jeffrey Nijnatten and Wil Janssen.

The other group leaders are Raimond Burgman, Jean van Erp, Ad Broeders, Herman Slikker, Dave van Geel, Barry Beers and Ad Koorevaar.

The line-up in the groups:
Group A: Dick Jaspers, Jean Paul de Bruijn, Jeffrey Nijnatten, Wil Janssen.
Group B: Raimond Burgman, Erik Vijverberg, Jeffrey Jorissen, Erik van Hoorn.
Group C: Jean van Erp, Glenn Hoffman, Peter Vlaar, Herman van Daalen.
Group D: Ad Brothers, Jan Arnouts, Rob Lamboo, Sander Jonen.
Group E: Slikker Herman, Dave Christiani, Harry van de Ven, Ruud Hölscher.
Group F: Dave van Geel, Tom Beemsterboer, Huub Wilkowski, Wilco van Wijk.
Group G: Barrie van Beers, Therese Klompenhouwer, Wim van den Berg, Adrie Demming.
Group H: Ad Koorevaar, Kai de Zwart, Frans van Schaik, Martien van Reel.

The tournament starts on Thursday, September 22 at 12.00.
