LIMA - The battle for the gold medals for teams at the Pan American championships and the qualification for the World championship for national teams in Viersen ended in a victory for the Colombian A team, which consisted of Robinson Morales and Henry Diaz. They defeated the Mexicans Raymundo Muñoz and Javier Vera in the final match. Third on the podium was Peru with Jose Torreblanca and Cristopher Tevez.

The Colombians closed the Pan-American championships with three gold medals: Soledad Gomez won the women's tournament, Cristian Sanchez the youth and Robinson Morales/Henry Diaz the tournament for teams.

2 Mexico (A): Javier Vera and Raymundo Munoz
