With eight players on the four tables in the tournament hall of Sunrise Garden Beach the last session has started to decide which twelve players tonight will join the pre-qualification. Three sessions, with matches over two winning sets, point in the evening the winners of the pools.
Ralf Lenz (Denmark) and Salah Abdin (Egypt) have the odds in group A in their own hand. Both players won their first match, the mutual meeting decides who is seeded.

Marcel van Berkel (Netherlands) in group B may afford losing one set against Czech Marek Vasa, then he keeps Bart Ceulemans out of the next round.
The winner of Arnim Kahofer (Austria) against Jorge Bastos (Portugal) in group C returns tomorrow for another two matches in the tournament.
Ronny Lindemann (Denmark), who made a strong impression this afternoon with 1,200 average, however has to beat the Egyptian Ali Hares to continue in next round.

Wesley Jaeger (Belgium) and Ben Thyssen (Netherlands) both had no problem with the Dutch lady Joke Breur and play now for the victory in poule E.
Rui Felizes (Portugal) is only seeded with a 2-0 win over the Egyptian Hamdi Badr in group F.
To win his match also is the order for Jan Hudak (Czech) and Hesham Gomaa (Egypt) in group H.
Haeng Jik Kim is very close to qualification. The Korean boy has little to fear from the Italian Salvatore Munna, who this afternoon played his first match with an average of 0.275 in group I.
Wilco van Wijk (Netherlands) is the favorite to win the J group, although he must still conquer Amir Saad from Egypt.
Mansour Abdel-Hadi (Egypt) and Michael Toudahl (Germany) play for the win in the group K.
Huub Wilkowski (Netherlands) and Moustafa Fadl (Egypt) duel in group L for a place in the next round.
