AMSTERDAM - The Dutch three cushion league has come to an end after 22 regular matches. The top team of Dallinga/Frans Bevers from Zeeland finished off with a huge margin and enters the playoffs as the big contender. De Heeren/ Millers Biljarts, Pressplate/Machielsen.fa and De Distel Biljarts also qualified for the championship round, which will be played next month.
In the general ranking, Dick Jaspers is on top with 1.993 average out of 13 matches, ahead of Frédéric Caudron 1.921 (15 games), Eddy Leppens 1.822 (14), Peter De Backer 1.636 (9) and Raimond Burgman 1.616 (out of 22).
Three players in the top five are from the Dallinga team. Raimond Burgman and Roland Forthomme were the only players in the top ten who played the maximum number of matches: 22.
In the top ten were three Dutch players: Dick Jaspers on the number one position, Raimond Burgman on five, Glenn Hoffman finished tenth. Barry van Beers was thirteenth and Jean van Erp sixteenth. Anno de Kleine is one of the remarkable players in the rankings: the Dutchman finished 22 with an average of 1.299 in 22 games. He was the player with the best match in the entire league: 50 caroms in 9 innings.
Peter De Backer (Dallinga) was the most valuable player. The Belgian, who is the owner of a billiard shop in Aalst, played nine matches and won them all. Therefore he was the only player with a hundred percent score. Second was Frans van Kuijk with 37 points out of 22, followed by Glenn Hofman with 33 in 20, Stefan Spilleman with 28 out of 17 and Eddy Leppens with 23 in 14 matches.
