Topbillings in Seoul: South Korea faces Europe

SEOUL - Six of the best three-cushion players in the world and ten Koreans face each other at the LG U+ Masters Cup in Seoul from 10 to 12 November. The tournament will be broadcast live by Kozoom. The European players are Torbjörn Blomdahl, Dick Jaspers, Dani Sánchez, Frédéric Caudron and Semih Sayginer. Vietnamese public player Quoc Nguyen Nguyen was invited as the sixth player in this group. Main sponsor LG provided a very attractive prize money, including 38.000 euros for the winner.

Sixteen players first meet in the qualifying rounds in four groups of four on Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 November. The winners of the groups advance to the semi-finals. The preliminaries will be played to 35 caroms with an equalizing inning. In the semi-finals, the match length will be 40 points with an equalizing inning and a shootout.

The ten Koreans for the tournament are Jae Ho Cho, Jung Han Heo, Hyung-Bum Hwang, Dong Koong Kang, Hyung Kon Kim, Jae Guen Kim, Sung-Won Choi, Sang Pil Um, Choong-Bok Lee and Hyun Min Seo.

The opening ceremony is on Tuesday, November 10th at 12.10. The tournament hall is: IFC Mall Yeoeuido-dong, Seoul. The organization: KBF, HS Ad.

The semi-finals are on Thursday November 12th at 14:00. Then followed by the final.

The total prize money is 110 million South Korean won

First prize: 50 million won (38.000 euros)
Second prize: 10 million
Third prize: 5 million

There is a special prize for the high run and the best average.
