Torbjörn Blomdahl beats Mazin Shooni in New York

NEW YORK - Torbjörn Blomdahl has won the invitation tournament in New York which was mentioned after him. The Swede defeated in the finals Mazin Shooni 40-26 in 21 innings. Third in the final score was Hugo Patino, Miguel Torres took fourth place.

The tournament in the Carom cafe in New York was for the first time organized with Torbjörn Blomdahl as participant. The preliminary round were played with 28 players, of whom fourteen were seeded for the second round. They were divided into two groups of seven and duelled for a place in the finals.

Hugo Patino won all his matches in the group in he was playing. He averaged 1.488, second was Miguel Torres with 1.232, third Sonny Cho with 1.106. Torres made ​​the highest run of the tournament with fourteen in his match against Mike Lee.
