Turkish rival for Therese on final days

BRANDENBURG - The last weekend at the European championship in Brandenburg starts with the last four disciplines out of a total of eighteen. Three cushion is highlighted this Saturday and Sunday for the men, the ladies and for the national teams. In addition, three cushion is played individually at the small table. The final rounds in the most important tournament, the three cushion for men, are played with Marco Zanetti, Dick Jaspers, Murat Naci Coklu and Ruben Legazpi. The semi-finals are this Saturday 10:00, the final at 3:30pm. The other three finals are on Sunday, the last day of the tournament. The final match in free game under 21 amis this Saturday at 1:00pm.

The Turkish player Aysegul Fendi launched herself in the ladies tournament as an important competitor for Therese Klompenhouwer. Not only was she the best of all players in the first round. In the first round on Saturday, she faced Therese Klompenhouwer in the group stage. The Turk, from Istanbul, who started playing billiards at the age of 30, shone with a great run of ten, rarely seen in women's billiards. She led 15-12 in ten innings at the break and won 25-18 in 16 innings. In the ladies event, three matches to 25 points finished within the maximum of 40 innings in the first round. Fendi was the best in 31 innings followed by Therese Klompenhouwer in 33 and Mirjam Pruim-Emmens in 39 innings.

The ladies play the semi-finals on Sunday at 9:00am and the final at 12:00 noon.

The tree cushion for the national teams, played according to the Scotch Double system, starts today, Saturday, at 13.00. The title defender is Turkey. The semi-final is Sunday at 12 noon, the final at 15.00 pm.

The three cushion on the small table approaches its show down on Saturday and Sunday with the final at 15.00. With 32 players, the knockout phase started on Saturday morning.
