NEW YORK - The two most famous players in three cushion have started the final round in the 2012 Open Verhoeven in New York. The Swede Torbjörn Blomdahl and the Belgian Raymond Ceulemans are the leaders in two semi final groups.

The group with Torbjörn Blomdahl seems to be strongest with amongst others the Europeans Eddy Leppens, Roland Forthomme and Glenn Hoffman and further Javier Terán, Mazin Shooni and Miguel Torres.

Raymond Ceulemans leads the group in which Pedro Piedrabuena, Andres Naranja and Carlos Campino must be seen as the main contenders.

Two groups of nine players with Jim Shovak and Joel Switala, added as not seeded players, will battle for two places in the semi finals. One of the favorites who's missing is Julian Morales.

The group formats:

Group A: Tobjörn Blomdahl, Eddy Leppens, Javier Terán, Mazin Shooni, Miguel Torres, Roland Forthomme, Glenn Hoffman, George Reyes, Carlos Man and Jim Shovak.

Group B: Raymond Ceulemans, Andres Naranja, Carlos Campino, Hugo Patino, Sonny Cho, Robinson Morales, Allan Jensen, Freddy Cato and Joel Switala.
