Peter Ceulemans, best winner in second round Dutch league

HAARLO/DEN HAAG - The Dutch premier league, the Buffalo League, is led by SIS Cleaning and HCR Prinsen with the maximum four match points after two rounds. Team De Eekhoorn is still unbeaten, but is one point behind. De Veemarkt and MCR are without points at the bottom. The best match of the second weekend was played by Peter Ceulemans, who beat Dave Christiani in 17 innings.

The SIS foursome showed the better against A1 Biljarts 6-2, mainly because the two players before the break left the 4-0 on the scoreboard. Raimond Burgman defeated Kay de Zwart to the finish 40-38, Jeffrey Jorissen was the best man of the team with a win over Addy Wienk in 25. Glenn Hofman lost on centrecourt against Martien van der Spoel in 29.

Team Eekhoorn did not even need its best form to send MCR back home with the maximum score (8-0). Frans van Kuyk was the best winner in 25, Jerry Hermans, Kurt Ceulemans and Kenny Miatton finished in 33, 44 and 56.

Roland Forthomme secured victory for Zundert (5-3) thanks to a 40-40 draw against Eddy Merckx in 18. Peter Ceulemans delivered an excellent performance to beat Dave Christiani (40-21 in 17). Two Belgians and two Dutchmen (Caudron, Van Acker, De Bruijn, Dallinga) took the 6-2 win at De Veemarkt (with the Turks Tasdemir, Capak and Kiraz), among others thanks to two equal scores before the break. 't Hartje won the match against Bousema 6-2, despite Coklu's win against De Backer.
