Two whirlwinds at one billiard table

ANDERNOS - What do you think: will Torbjörn Blomdahl still remember one of the most crazy matches in his career when he kicks off this afternoon in Andernos in his game against Roland Forthomme? When we go back to that day: around fifty spectators witnessed a weird match in café/billiard center Ockenburgh in Goes (Netherlands). Roland Forthomme was playing for his home crowd and faced the illustrious Blomdahl.

And especially for Roland Forthomme it turned out in a memorable day. The Belgian was in a brilliant for and played the best match of his career, defeating the grandmaster 50-6 in 11 innings! For many years it was talk of the town in the billiard center in Goes.

How many times 'Torbjörn the Terrible' has taken revenge after that 'black day', because there should be no doubt: the Swede has built up a palmares miles ahead of Forthomme. But still ... it really happened.
 
This afternoon, in Andernos, two of the fastest players in the circuit come back into the ring. And for sure: when Blomdahl and Forthomme meet each other, most of the time it is a match for the audience to intensely enjoy. The referees are under pression. The French well known referee André Chétard once said: ,,Roland Forthomme is running hundred meters in twelve seconds around the table. And if we, the referees, do not attend, we will be knocked down.''

The Kozoom team, that lost his first game for the league, will host the team of Laxou with his top players Torbjörn Blomdahl and Martin Horn this afternoon (16:00). The matches will be broadcast live on Kozoom.
 
Gravelines (Spoormans, Daniéls) plays a home match against Agipi (Caudron, Zanetti, Bury, Roux) and Andernos (Dick Jaspers and Filippos Kasidokostas) meets Albert. That means the three winners of the first round meet the three losers.
