LIER - The sixteen Belgian finalists for the Superprestige, to be held from Monday, September 12th until Saturday, September 17th, are divided now into four groups of four players. Frédéric Caudron, Eddy Merckx, Eddy Leppens and Roland Forthomme are the group leaders. The tournament is moved from the Adelberg theatre in Lommel to the Mr 100 in Lier for once, by reason of the UMB international calendar.

Kurt Ceulemans is proud to welcome the prestigious tournament with his staff in the Mr 100. The Superprestige is traditionally the fresh start of the season with the sixteen players who lead the ranking, a result of the most important tournaments: the Belgian championship, the Belgian Cup and the BTS tournaments. ,,We will use the Salle d'Eau in the Mr 100 and we all hope to create a magnificent spectacle'', says Kurt, who is among the players himself as number seven in the ranking. The Mr 100 is one of the most famous billiard arenas in Belgium. Raymond Ceulemans is the figurehead in the venue named to him. He still plays in the Belgian team league with Peter, Kurt and Bart Ceulemans.

The Superprestige, known for its unique atmosphere, had to move due to a mutation at the international billiards calendar: the World Cup in Korea changed its schedule date. Eddt Leppens, for a long time the organizer of the Superprestige, was very surprised, but quickly managed to find another location. The Mr 100, with its magnificent billiard arena in the centre of Lier, is the best possible alternative for the billiard players and spectators.

The schedule does not deviate from previous editions: the four groups of four are playing separately on Monday 12, Tuesday 13, Wednesday 14 and Thursday, September 15th. The top two from each group advance to the quarter-finals on Friday, the semi-finals and finals are on Saturday, September 17th.

The group format is:

Monday:
Roland Forthomme, Davy van Havere, Jef Philipoom, Kenny Miatton

Tuesday:
Frédéric Caudron, Steven van Acker, Peter De Backer, Francis Forton

Wednesday:
Eddy Merckx, Kurt Ceulemans, Ronny Brants, Marc Celen

Thursday:
Eddy Leppens, Marco Janssen, Peter Ceulemans, Ronny Daniels.

The group matches will start at 18.00.
The quarterfinals on Friday from 19.00. The semi-finals on Saturday at 18.00, followed by the final match.

The matches will be broadcast live by Kozoom.
