Yuko Nishimoto won her first match and is fighting for qualification in her second.

SUWON - She makes a forceful impression at the billiard and has made a strong start of the tournament. We may say:  Yuko Nishimoto from Japan, a lady with spirit, defeated her compatriot Kazutaka Hodozuka 15-9 and 15-8 in the first round of the second day. She finished with an average of 0.769, which is not so bad for a lady. In any case it was much better than the other Japanese lady: Kaori Yasuma, who played an average of 0.238 and was swept off the table.

It seems that the two Japanese ladies don't have many chances to survive in this qualifying round, although Yuko Nishimoto is still in the running. She now plays against Byung Hoon Jeong, the only Korean in the group G, who has won his first match 2-0 and played an average of 1.111.

The level of the second session was less than the first of the day. Chun Ho Han (1.764), Hyung Kon Kim and Lys Allan Jensen (1.428), Jin Sam Kim (1.363) ended up with the highest scores.

The decisive matches in the groups are halfway now. Three players have already qualified for the session of tomorrow. Hae  Myoung Jung finished as winner in Group C with two wins and four sets won. Young II Kwun was group winner in D, Ho Suk Jung F after beating Kyung-Nam Ko, who finished 1.733 and finished in second place.
