In a tough and fiercely contested final match, Henrique Correia (POR) defeated Frank Willner (GER) 7:5.
Correia had smooth sailing in the beginning. Things went according to his likings and he was able to gain a comfortable 5:2 lead over Willner. But "Willie", as his friends call him, tried everything to strike back. However, Correia was just too good for him today. In the end, the result of 7:5 for Correia is a true and fair display of the player's performances.
In the ladies division, Susanne Wessels (GER) brought her teammate Wienke Thamsen (GER) to her knees with a clear 5:1 victory. Thamsen was able to tie the match once at 1:1. From then on, Wessels dominated her at will and she showed no mercy with Thamsen, snatching the title with a clear 5:1 victory.
