This year's version of the Dynamic Billard European Youth Championships is about to be started. The location could not be better. The event will be played in Hotel Bernadin in Portoroz, Slovenia, and organized by the Italian Federation FIBIS.

This uncommon setup is due to the fact that Portoroz is a beautiful Slovenian holiday resort which is situated in the lovely region of Istria, a few kilometers away from the Italian coastal town of Trieste. The resort is surrounded by a scenic bay and is situated right on the water. The players can relax and go for a swim in between matches or enjoy an amazing walk on the promenade.

From August 1st through 8th, 131 youth players from over 28 European nations will compete for titles in straight pool, 8-ball, 9-ball, 10-ball and team competition in the juniors, pupils and girls category. The youth EC will be followed by the EC for seniors and ladies which will take place from August 10th through 16th. 104 players in the seniors and ladies category will as well joust for the titles in the same disciplines as the youth players.
After the two European Championship events, a Euro-Tour will take place from August 21st through 23rd. These three back to back tournaments will make Portoroz in Slovenia the European Pool capital for the upcoming month.

Play will begin on Friday morning at 09:00 CET with the first rounds of straight pool.
