Niels Feijen (NED) secured his spot in the final of the Dynamic Billiard Germany Open 2012 by outclassing Artem Koshovyi (UKR) with 8:1.

It seemed as if Koshovyi's victory in the quarter-final with 8:7 over Mark Gray (GBR) took too much energy off him. He looked exhausted and appeared not to be as focussed as he normally is. Feijen was the complete opposite. He is playing extremely strong and focussed today, always in the zone. Since Koshovyi missed some shots and positions, he became an easy prey for Feijen. When the match was already 5:1 in favour of Feijen, Koshovyi got the chance to start a comeback but he missed the 10-ball. Koshovyi was on the ropes. Feijen completed the set and handed Koshovyi his personal Waterloo, winning the match with 8:1.

The second semi-final was played between Oliver Ortmann (GER) and Daryl Peach (GBR). Ortmann did also not show the performance that he showed in the matches before. He missed an easy 3-ball when trailing 2:3. Instead of staying on the ball, Ortmann let Peach get away. It happened again when the score was 6:5 for Peach. Ortmann missed the 9-ball and that was the beginning of the end for him in the tournament. Peach won the match with 8:4 and will now play for the title against Feijen in the final match. The final match will begin at 18:30 CET.
