The Kozoom booth
Besides great foosball, a lot has been going on off the table in Nantes France. It was the first tournament that Jim Stevens joined the Kozoom team and everyone was excited about the outcome. And Jim exceeded even the highest expectations. Seeing himself confronted with national team highlights that lasted up to three hours, he still managed to get more enthusiastic the closer the match got and do interviews in between matches. He must have lost several pounds walking those stairs from the tribune to the arena after each match. But it paid off. Here are my top three quotes from the tournament, at least how I remember them:
Jim Stevens to Frédéric Collignon: “After all those years and everything you have one, how do you motivate yourself to always bring your a-game?”
Collignon: “Well, it’s the only game I have.”
Chris Marks after winning against Ryan Moore: “It’s Sunday but the banks were open.”
Jim Stevens to Collignon: “If you’d play yourself, how would you beat you?”
Collignon: “I don’t know, but… I would win.”
In addition to Jim Stevens, it was the first time that viewers were able to switch between the different tables of the final arena depending on which match they wanted to see so you were able to select your favorite match. Overall, several hundred viewers were watching the spectacle over the live-stream making it possible to invite Jim Stevens again at the Roberto Sport World Championship serien in April. Thanks everyone for the great feedback, we hope to see you then!
