Bonzini WCS 2011

The next month is going to be one of the most exciting ones in the history of table-soccer with two great ITSF events on the tournament schedule! First, on the weekend of June 15-17, the Bonzini World Championship Series will take place in Pontoise, France. This annual event is always one of the most well-attended and organized tournaments in the world, with many of the sport's greatest players coming to the Paris suburb of Pontoise to compete for championship honors.

This year's Bonzini WCS competition will once again be very strong, with powerful French teams Miguel Dos Santos / Sébastien Mèckes and Adèl Yousfi / Hervé Dos Santos teaming up to chase the title, as will Paul Nunes of Portugal and his partner, French star Julien Lebècq. The always-tough Sven Wonsyld is teaming up with his Danish teammate Jonathan Juel. In the women categories, the challenge for the top teams like Anaïs Noèl and Marine Pohl will be to stop the fiercely playing Amalie Bremer who won both titles last year and is again playing with Camilla Lohmann.

Only one week later, a completely new team competition will be held in Hannover, Germany. The first annual European Champions Cup, a competition featuring the strongest league teams in Europe will get underway Saturday, June 23rd and this event should quickly become one of the most exciting in the sport. The concept is well known from soccer, where the European Champions League has become one of the biggest sporting events in the world. Each federation in Europe is allowed to send the club that won their national championships to the Hannover event, allowing Kozoom Productions and to bring you the most exciting playing format in foosball, a multi-table team competition! Some of the biggest stars in the sport will be in attendance to compete for championship honors in Hannover, including world champions Frederic Collignon and Jamal Allalou, who will compete for the Belgian entry KMTV Hasselt. German stars Marc Balic, Ruben Heinrich and Christopher Marks will play for a very strong KGB Hannover team, with teams from France, Poland, Austria, Italy and Denmark also competing for this first-ever title. My Comments

WCS Bonzini
Like the ITSF site the only thing is mentioned is the French, french and french players. I remember that the title was won Habets - Raven last year. With fantastic play and beating all the other top players. French and Non French. Being a bit more neutral would definite be on its place because you are a news medium. Do not see this as a personal attack on you good work, take it as a criticism to build up. I am looking forward to see again fantastic foosball
